Does every job are equal - Equality Impact Assessment

The answer is yes to shower humanity above all human beings to cover with the umbrella of equality. The answer should be yes for the society to preach that everyone is equal. But it is important to understand equality impact assessment.

I apologize for saying this. In reality, the answer is a big 'NO'. Looking in depth it can never be equal. Getting something everyone can get is not some achievement that is worth appreciation. When I am being a salesman and demanding the same respect as a professor, who is not going to laugh at the statement?

Value and Appreciation

Yes, appreciation for all jobs is necessary, right? No correction is needed in my opinion. For example, a kid who is taking the first step since birth is a big moment and everyone cheers, if you don't you have to have some real concern. But when you walk 100 steps to buy some groceries from a nearby shop is not worth appreciating the same. Your first job is surely something to praise because you are getting out of your comfort zone. In the long run, if you can't grow at a faster pace than other competitors you are still a loser.

I want to mention some extreme scenario which even our society judge on. Professions like stripper or exotic dancing, prostitution, etc. earn a lot of money. Are we going to give the same respect as we give to a doctor, professor, or a successful businessman? Frankly saying 'no'. No, it can never be. Outside of their professional ground accepting them even as a friend is something people disgusted. Having them as wives is out of everyone's question. Correct me if I am wrong.

So, the same will be applied to all the professions in different variables unlike that of extreme one. It is not about disrespect to those people taking any profession. I am just mentioning the reality. We will never be able to stay clean without the sweeper, garbage man, and toilet cleaning service. But we can replace the person taking the profession anytime because everyone can do the job if desperate to earn a few bucks. We should appreciate the effort and walking out of their comfort zone. We should never disrespect anybody at all. Getting the same respect as someone holding a high position or a successful person is not something we should consider and be concerned about.

Growth Is Mandatory

Bricklaying or construction job is one of the most important jobs and needs to be given respect. But if you stay unskilled and never work harder than others to take a position of expertise in a few years how you are supposed to be considered? Someone more willing to work can replace you anytime.

To become a doctor or a professor or successful entrepreneur you need to learn and attend several lectures. Need to read several books and unlimited trials to gain experience. It is an everlasting and long-term effort to get to the point of that profession and to become a successful one. So, it's obvious to gain more respect than others.

Value And Respect

I am not here to discriminate against any profession, just explaining the reality. The final point of the conclusion is we need to try harder and to achieve bigger. To achieve something that everyone cannot easily get. More the value and importance you bring into society the more respect you get in return.
