The word uncertainty has been accompanying us since the beginning of our lives and perhaps it may be the reason that makes our lives more interesting and meaningful. Learning to thrive through life's journey is about embracing the uncertain and unknowns. At times the uncertainty might bring unpleasant situations but with a little cognizance and awareness, we can turn the table. So here are the most basic and effective strategies to achieve this cognizance about the well-being of our life.
Practice Mindfulness
Our mind is where we live. Making it as still as possible is our foremost responsibility. Being completely aware of what we are doing and where we are and not letting anything affect us is what mindfulness is all about. To achieve this meditation and journaling are the easiest practice. Meditation allows us to explore the present and journaling leads to self-discovery.
Acceptance
Acceptance is the key strategy to handle uncertainty. Accepting the fact that some situations are beyond our control and reflecting on our abilities reinforce and reduce anxiety and stress. Also, acceptance does not mean surrendering and giving up, it means acknowledging our limitations and focusing our energy on what we are capable of.
Being adaptable and flexible
With flexibility comes adaptability, the ability to deal with uncertainty and to change according to the situation. Embracing the unexpected change as an opportunity for growth and being willing to explore new perspectives and possibilities, rather than a threat to our stability.

Staying informed and updated is crucial to some extent but overconsumption may affect our mental well-being leading to being overwhelmed and anxious unnecessarily. With the advancement of technology, we are drowned in unnecessary information resulting in distracting ourselves from our priorities.
Practice gratitude
Being grateful is one of the qualities most of us lack, taking time to appreciate the positive aspects of others and ourselves may help us positively see the world around us. Frequently we are prone to seeing bad or negative aspects rather than appreciating all the positive aspects around us. Simply keeping a gratitude journal or expressing our gratitude aloud can enhance the well-being of our state of mind and outlook.
Seek support
While we are facing a challenging situation in life seeking help may be the hardest act but the more we keep our emotions to ourselves the worse it turns out. It is better to seek help and support from trusted people around us whether that be a friend, family member, or professional.
